Wireless Technologies for Digital Process Control Automation

A webinar discussing the various wireless technologies available today related to DPC, SmartGrid, and SCADA.

DUE TO POTENTIAL SNOWFALL ON FEBUARY 9TH, THIS EVENT WILL BE CONDUCTED AS A WEBINAR. PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL TO IP&L.
NOTE THAT THE TIME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 7PM.

Digital process control and automation systems are used by electric utilities and many manufacturing organizations to monitor plant condition and operations. These systems enable operations personnel to collect information on equipment operating parameters (such as voltage, amperes, number of operations) and equipment performance, and to control equipment remotely. SCADA and DCS are common applications of these systems.

ERS Data Solutions, along with Motorola and others, has implemented these systems at a number of industrial clients using wireless technology. In this discussion, Mr. Kincaid (who serves as chair of the Communications Society, Central Indiana) from ERS Data Solutions will discuss details of the system technology and implementation.

Speaker:
Mr. Sam Kincaid, ERS Data Solutions
