IEEE Central Indiana Section

1. Approval of the 9/12/02 minutes:  approved.
2. Officer Nominations:  Motion to extend the deadline for nominations for officers for next year from the nominations committee from 1 October 2002 to 28 October 2002. The deadline to receive nominations by petition remains 21 October 2002: approved
3. CIS-IEEE Banquet:  Discussion on including IEEE basic membership dues in the prize package within the $500 amount: prize package to also include a palm pilot / PDA to be decided. Burt Loupee is scheduled to be in attandance.
4. SWARM Intelligence Symposium:  The section is officially a 5% sponsor of the SWARM Intelligence Symposium. The section does not supply any funding, but was asked for approval of their budget. Plans, projected surplus, etc., were sent to Alan.
5. PACE :  Application for PACE project plan: Al Razban to sign as the section's PACE coordinator, Norbert can sign as PACE coordinator.
6. Other Business:  Bill Warden - interested in reestablishing the Bloomington Subsection. Will be invited to an ExCom meeting. Also, a request for funding from a Boy Scout Explorer troup was received: also to be invited to an ExCom meeting.
7. Next Meeting:  The next IEEE CIS ExCom meeting will be October 10 at 5:00 p.m. A phone bridge will be set up to allow phone attendees. This meeting will be onthe same day as the EIT2003 planning meeting, which will be help from noon - 1:00.
